Waving goodbye to January and hello to newness.

As the last of the snow melts away and we creep closer to the end of boring January, we celebrate with a beat and a bang in our first mixtape of 2013. With this soundtrack for change blasting from the speakers, we watched on as hair stylist Meggie Cousland showed us how to skin fade. We then welcomed the return of old friend, Juergen Teller as his exhibition 'Woo' rolled into the ICA before looking left as filmmaker Alexi Tan met Chinese artist Yue Minjun to find out what lies beneath his freaky smile. Still grinning ourselves, and a little dazed from following the menswear fashion conveyor belt as it sped through London, Florence, Milan and Paris, our thoughts have been saturated with checks, fantastical facial hair and well crafted worlds. With melting minds and racing hearts, i-D's own Elgar Johnson and Anders Christian Madsen helped take stock of it all as they selected their highest of highlights from the season that was. Without time to catch our breath or fall back to earth, our fashion thoughts then turned to the exquisite Couture SS13 collections. Pausing in the garden with Raf Simons for Christian Dior, the hot haute couture reminded us just how close the first shoots of spring are.
