Friday 15th June
A man's got to do what a man's got to do.
Today is a momentous day. It's the start of London Collections: Men, the first all-men's London fashion week, they've flown the nest. And if the sheer elation on Prince Charles's face last night during his celebratory reception at St James's Palace is any indicator, it's going to be a hell of a ride. A mighty start to the season, we've just released a film by Joe Ridout behind-the-scenes on Mark Lebon and Judy Blame's shoot for The Lights, Camera, Action Issue. Showing you how it's done, Mark and Judy chat about the rag trade and what makes you associate with a picture. Just watch it. Then celebrating the breed of new menswear pioneers, Joe Turvey shares his totally tropical lookbook and we nose insi-De the studios of Omar Kashoura, Lou Dalton, SIBLING and Alex Mattsson. Looking forward to i-D's Inspirational Men's Dinner on Saturday evening, we also profile our five guest-speakers: master of the word Richard Buckley, era-defining photographer Dennis Morris, art legend Sir Norman Rosenthal, and double trouble duo Mark and Judy. Still recovering from last night's i-D MIX premiering June's Mixtape, we're poised at the start line for three full, uninterrupted days of menswear mania. For catwalk pictures and backstage faces keep up on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube and SoundCloud. Take it like a man.
