Freaky Friday!

It's Friday the 13th, that fate date when superstitions carry us away and at least one person sees a ghost in a plastic bag. We start proceedings however, on another date, October 1st, 2011, which had its own measure of fate, and a woman in white, as Rei Kawakubo showed her all-white SS12 collection for Comme des Garçons. In The Royalty Issue, i-D Fashion Editor Caroline Newell gives her take on the collection, entitled White Drama, which from today is being exhibited at Musée Galliera in Paris. Then in a musing state of mind, i-D Editor Holly Shackleton celebrates the incredible talents of Raf Simons as the news comes of his appointment as Artistic Director of Dior. Photographer Piczo shoots Tokyo girls Rieko and Yui straight-up and Fashion Editor Elgar Johnson brings five new faces together to form the ultimate i-D boyband. Assistant Editor Milly McMahon hangs out with cheeky Brighton boys and about to be hip pop superstars Rizzle Kicks and we bask in the glory of the very first i-D MIX night.
