Understated yet bang on trend, Rabeanco is the accessory brand taking the it-bag down a peg or two.
Creating handbags that effortlessly add to a style without owning it, the international brand is known for its simple yet sophisticated structures and luxurious, functional designs. “We believe what a person wears should enhance their appearance, rather than detract from it,” explains director Andrew Ng, “many of our designs are multi-functional and can be styled with several looks throughout each season.” With stores dotted around the globe and now nestled in their brand new Covent Garden flagship, Rabeanco has a bag for everyone, offering a fine selection of satchels, totes and clutches. Each item has been carefully crafted with super soft lambskin leather and produced in a variety of colours, from beige and khaki to striking violet and electric blue. “Our aesthetic is colourful, on-trend and stylish”, Andrew tells i-D. “We love to play with colour blocking to create different silhouettes.” Collection highlights for autumn/winter 11 include the alluring Brightrider evening clutch and the stunning Reportorial, a satchel-style classic that has caught the eye of fashion girls everywhere. With other UK stores following Covent Garden’s lead, Rabeanco is the need-to-know brand for 2011, and judging by the hype so far, it’s all set to be handbags at dawn.
