Earlier this year, Chanel travelled to Tokyo to host three spectacular events – the Little Black Jacket exhibition, the SS12 haute couture show and a pop-up fashion boutique and party starring Azealia Banks. All three events took place during sakura (桜) cherry blossom season, and marked a momentous moment for both Chanel and Japan. In The Just Kids Issue, i-D Editor Holly Shackleton lifts the lid on the Chanel’s iconic LBJ, as Fashion Director Charlotte Stockdale and photographer Norbert Schoerner documented some of our favourite Tokyo residents and Chanel fans.
