Terry Richardson is a world-renowned fashion and celebrity photographer. Born in New York City, Terry’s love of photography began in high school, when depicting himself, his friends and his surroundings. As well as i-D, Terry is a regular contributor to Purple, Dazed & Confused, W, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, and British and French Vogue. His commercial clients have included Chloé, Gucci and Miu Miu, while his impressive list of celebrity subjects includes Daniel Day Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Ford, Jay Z, Karl Lagerfeld and Barack Obama. Often appearing in his shoots alongside his sitters, Terry did just that for The Beat Issue, July 2003 with Chloë Sevigny becoming an i-D cover star himself. Terry’s photographs have appeared in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the world and in a number of books, most recently Terryworld 25th Anniversary Edition, published by Taschen in 2008. Terry has also shot music videos and commercials and is currently working on his first feature film.
