Simon Peter Frank Cook is the allusive lad behind Stone and Spear, a multifaceted artist – illustrator, designer and art director. Dreaming big, SPFC’s distinctive logos and signature collage techniques are uplifting, eye-catching and inspired. His search to escape the monotonous routine of day-to-day life propels us into another dreamlike dimension – an authentic artificial universe reined by irony, magic, sarcasm and fantasy – where the world of Stone and Spear collides with our own. Currently living and working in Paris, his playful combinations of striking photographic imagery and bold graphics have relentlessly continued to captivate the music and fashion industry seeing him work alongside Universal Records, i-D, Clash and Givenchy. Shortlisted for New Designer of the Year in 2010 by Creative Review who described him as “one of the year’s most promising graduates in visual communication”, i-D also cherry-picked Simon as one of the top illustrators to keep one eye glued on.
