Sarah Raphael was born and raised in the less than reputable South London town of Eltham. Her teenage years were spent writing bad poetry in the dark listening to Nirvana and fantasising about River Phoenix. Sarah graduated with a first class honours in English Literature and completed a Masters in Fashion Journalism at London College of Fashion. She enjoyed stints at The Guardian, the British Fashion Council and SHOWstudio before starting at i-D, where she is now Online Editor.
