Sarah Hay

Sarah Hay, i-D’s Paris Editor, has been a reader of the magazine since the age of 15, when its fashion spreads taped to her bedroom walls provoked screaming rows with her mum. Approached to write professionally while still a student in Manchester, Sarah moved to London, began writing for i-D and, following an interview for the magazine with The Rakes in 2004, directed her first music video and tour documentary for the band. Sarah has interviewed Azzedine Alaïa, Pete Doherty, Marianne Faithfull, Nicolas Ghesquière, and Rinko Kikuchi for i-D, in addition to recent work for the Financial Times and The Times.
