New York-based stylist Patti Wilson, who once worked as a hostess in a Big Apple jazz club, is now amoung the most recognisable figures in fashion. Starting her career in the 1990s, she forged a friendship with a young Edward Enninful, i-D’s then Fashion Editor, and began contributing regular editorial shoots to the magazine. She has since worked with every major photographer of our time, with names like Stephen Meisel, Paolo Roversi, Terry Richardson, David LaChapelle and Steven Klein representing the versatility of her style. As well as a myriad of i-D covers, Patti has styled stories for Italian Vogue, Numero, Vogue Nippon, Harper’s Bazaar and countless more. Her manner is full of street edge, sensuality and classical sophistication, as her work with Daniele + Iango on our Fall 2012, The Role Model Issue so beautifully demonstrates. With a posse of celebrity clients big enough to populate a planet and a résumé brimming with fashion’s biggest houses, Patti Wilson is still very much on top.
