Cypriot stylist Panos Yiapanis was first introduced to the fashion industry via his friend, the late photographer Corinne Day. It was through this collaboration with Corinne that Panos’ benchmark editorial Lame was published in The Renaissance Issue, March 2001; the shoot setting the mood for his signature subculture aesthetic and dark, brooding romance. Furthermore, Panos holds the achievement of being the only stylist to appear in their own work at i-D, photographed by Corinne wearing Raf Simons autumn/winter 2001 in front of a destroyed curtain. Today Panos is highly regarded for his styling of Rick Owens and ongoing collaboration with Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy, whose menswear has proposed an entirely new blend of masculinity. Based in London, he regularly contributes to magazines including Arena Homme Plus, V and AnOther, working with photographers including Mert and Marcus, with whom he also creates Givenchy campaigns, Willy Vanderperre, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Juergen Teller, Mario Sorrenti and Steven Klein.
