Natalia Vodianova was born in Russia, 1982. At the age of 15, Natalia enrolled in a modelling academy and learned English before moving to Paris at 17 and signing with Viva Models. She has gone on to walk in nearly 200 shows and starred in advertising campaigns for designers including Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel. Natalia has appeared on the cover of British Vogue eight times alone and on the cover of Vogue (including all international versions) a whopping thirty-six times. Credit to her unerring beauty, Natalia managed to work a mono-brow on the cover of i-D’s ‘The Spectator Issue’ (May 2002) and most recently appeared on the cover of ‘The Home is where the Heart is Issue’ (Spring 2010). Natalia made her first foray into acting in the film CQ, followed by roles in Probka and Clash of the Titans. In 2009, the model became brand ambassador for the French lingerie company Etam, a contract including her own seasonal designs, named Natalia pour Etam. In 2001, she married Justin Portman and the couple now have three children. Natalia founded The Naked Heart Foundation, a charity dedicated to providing play areas for children in Russia.
