Kayt Jones is a photographer and filmmaker known for her cinematic fashion imagery and evocative portraiture. Born and raised in London, Jones began her career in Paris as a photo assistant, later receiving her degree in film and photography in London. Jones’s editorial photography is characterised by a strong narrative component, underscoring the reciprocal creative influence between her two areas of study. Jones received the 2009 Style Award for Fashion Photographer of the Year. Her work is regularly featured in magazines including French Elle, V and British Vogue and has been exhibited internationally. Jones’s film directorial debut came in 2008 with the short film “Foxglove”, which premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, co-directed with her director husband Jay Rodan. Their most recent short film, ‘The Corner’, showed at ‘A Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival’ in Milan in 2010. Jones lives with her husband and two children in L.A. Memorable covers for i-D include Laetitia Casta and the naked supermodels (Winter Issue, 2009) Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova and Helena Christensen, as well as young stars like Chanel Iman, and most recently, two of the five covers for The Exhibitionist Issue.
