Jacqueline Marcus

i-D Online contributor Jacqueline Marcus is a tea drinking, scone eating Anglophile with an acute addiction to Woman’s Hour. Born and raised in New Jersey, USA, she will defend the musical merits of Bruce Springsteen to all who will listen, quote filthy passages from Phillip Roth novels and can fist pump Jersey Shore style with the best of ‘em. Jacqueline graduated from Brown, where she studied history, and then moved to the UK, where she worked with Editor in Chief of The Gentlewoman, Penny Martin, on the launch issue of the magazine. There she enjoyed excellent tutorials on the oeuvre of Kraftwerk and northern soul. She has also assisted at ES, British Vogue, Lula and The Times Magazine. Currently an editorial assistant and freelance writer based in London, she is interested in investigating the interplay between style, culture and politics and its effect on the cultural zeitgeist. She regularly muses about art and fashion for i-D online.
