Leaving Toronto with nothing more than a knapsack, Hazel arrived in London on a mission, setting her sights on securing herself a job at her favourite fashion magazine (i-D!). Throw forward six months and Hazel was making fast progress on her dream, on staff at i-D Hazel busied herself assisting stylists including Elgar Johnson, Simon Foxton and working with superstar snapper Alasdair McLellan. Her unflappable fringe and fashiontastic fingertips didn’t stop there though, she shot with many of i-D’s rising stars – George Harvey and Justin Borbely being just two, and regular writing music pieces on her favourite beat-makers for i-D Online. Now back in her homeland, much missed by the i-D team, Hazel continues to contribute from afar filling us in on all the best international action that crosses her path.
