Born in Switzerland in 1939, Hans Feurer has been one of fashion’s most enduring and important photographers for over thirty years. Hans’ work for i-D continues his tradition of showing empowered, strong women such as Chanel Iman, while his commercial work with Kenzo throughout the 80s helped to put the brand on an the international footing. Identifiable at a glance, his iconic images have also appeared in Numero, Vogue, Another, GQ Style and of course his mythical 1974 Perelli Calendar. When asked how his work has remained fresh for decades, he replies, “I approach each photo shoot with the same excitement and enthusiasm I felt when I was a child building a tree house.”
