Based in London, where she and husband Marc Newson live with their two beautiful daughters, Charlotte Stockdale is a superstylist with a super CV – to which she added the title i-D Fashion Director in 2011! Charlotte began her career as a model, starring in an i-D shoot shot by Nick Knight and styled by Edward Enninful. She soon made the transition to styling and today is a regular contributor to V, US Harper’s Bazaar, Japanese and British Vogue working with a stellar line-up of photographers including Nick Knight, Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchellier and Karl Lagerfeld, with who she also consults both at his own line and Fendi. Other brands include Lanvin, Viktor & Rolf and Dolce & Gabbana, who she worked with for five years. In Autumn 2010, Charlotte teamed with David Bailey to style the beautiful Abbey Lee Kershaw for The Back to the Future Issue. The prints were later exhibited in a series called ‘The Stockdale Effect’ at the Paul Stolper Gallery. When not busy working with the fashion elite, Charlotte likes to read Bee-Keeper Weekly.
