Chanel Iman Robinson, the renowned African American model, was born in 1989. After coming third place in Ford’s Supermodel of the World contest in 2006, Chanel made her catwalk debut for the likes of Anna Sui, Derek Lam, Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler. In 2007, Style.com named Chanel one of the ‘rising stars’ of 2007, and, shot by Steven Meisel, she appeared on the cover of Vogue as one of the next generation of supermodels. Chanel has walked for designers including Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier, shot campaigns for DKNY, Gap, Ralph Lauren and secured a three year contract with Victoria’s Secret. Her editorial credentials include Numéro, V, Allure, Teen Vogue, Vogue, the all black issue of Italian Vogue, Pop, Harper’s Bazaar and more.
