Little Nikki is the pretty teen who blows kisses at strangers on the bus and skips through supermarket aisles with the happy-go-lucky spirit of a girl who knows she’s got what it takes to get to the top. At only sweet sixteen, she penned her first song ten years ago, looks like Rita Ora’s little sister and has toured with Justin Beiber. We see her in mismatching Jeremy Scott x Adidas kicks, ‘rocking and rolling, ready to go,’ Intro Intro is her first single as a solo artist and what an introduction she’s given herself to the music world. This girl clearly goes all out by nature and for Scott, who’s comic, colour-popping, clip-art clothes, more-is-more attitude and love of caps-lock, she was the perfect fit for the next in i-D online’s versus series. We dress her up in Jeremy Scott and find out that there’s never a dull moment with the little Londoner.

Can you define your sound? Beats, base, lots of vocals, rap, electo. If it’s working or it fits, we throw it in.
How did it feel to be 13 and already signed? I was 13 and signed to a record deal, how did it feel? Amazing, and a lot better than being 15 and dropped from a record deal. But actually, it taught me a lot. You have to be true to yourself musically. I do my thing, my way now…. that’s what counts.
How important is fashion to you? Fashion? I’d prefer to talk about style. I like to feel comfortable, I like to express myself through clothes, I like my new Giuseppe Zanotti trainers, but whatever I wear it has to be me and feel like me. What I wear has to be me.
What’s your favourite Jeremy Scott piece? Definitely has to be the hoodie/ jacket I wore in the Intro Intro Refix video. Am still so in love with it
What would your soundtrack for a Jeremy Scott fashion show sound like? Super cool, like some Kendrick Lemar, Azealia Banks, Iggy Azalea. Probably throw some of my stuff in there, and some Kanye too.
What was the last piece of clothing you bought? Some new Nike Air Forces and a sweater from Topshop, lol.
What piece of clothing have you worn to death? My Uggs, lol. When I’m in the studio or going to photo or video shoots, it’s nice to be comfortable. I keep alternating. But I still like live in Uggs whenever I can haha. Are they still in fashion? I don’t know or care, I’m sticking with them.
How would your ideal guy dress? Umm, he’d have to have something individual about him. Doesn’t have to be an expensive taste. But just always taking pride in how he looks. He’d need to brush up well too. Haha. A guy who would look pretty good in a suit is hot.
What are your plans for 2013? I wanna get as much music out as possible. Some more gigs and Djing would be sick. Just keep doing what I’m doing now, and stay busy.
