i-Saw: Phill Taylor

Phill Taylor’s followed his favourite faces as they shuffled from show to show this autumn/winter 13.

Continuing the series of i-Saws, Phill Taylor shares his point and shoot view of Paris Fashion Week. With a smile and a wink, we follow his lens as it focuses in on a beautiful model dozen (thirteen) and things get animated. In the chaos that ensues between shows, Taylor managed to steal a few quiet moments with each of his most loved models. Before you look right and meet the models in motion, allow the photographer to set the scene.

“With the circus that exists outside the fashion shows now, the job of identifying the girls that I want to shoot and even getting anywhere near them has become increasingly hard each season. However, having continuously shot some of the girls since they began walking the shows I knew who I would be able to get the best out of, but of course it’s always fun to pick out some of the new faces who look that extra bit special too and to see what we could create. There is something instinctive that comes out of the images when you only have a matter of seconds before the girls have to turn and dash off on their motorbikes to the next show, that would perhaps be too polished if we had too long to dither over our ideas.”

Stay tuned for more i-Saws.
