Victoria Beckham continued to develop her version of grown up luxe with an athletic, feminine collection of new lengths. Sculpted round shoulders added a sporty modernism to knitwear, while turtle-necks came oversized and unapologetically chunky. But the real stars of the show were the coats. A new inclusion to the VB brand, Victoria introduced outerwear with aplomb, demonstrating her ever increasing self-confidence as a designer. Favourites included a houndstooth print overcoat with shiny blue rubberised bottom and a black fur fronted bomber jacket with voluminous chocolate brown sleeves. Elsewhere royal blue and pale yellow tailored overcoats with contrasting wool sleeves were almost Celine-like in their minimalism. Black tuxedo jackets came spliced away at the sleeve into capes, while skirts – cut somewhere between the knee and the ankle – managed to be elegant rather than awkward.
