Forget your workaday trouser suit, Ter et Bantine’s Creative Director, Manuela Arcari has brought the humdrum pinstripe back to life. Showing off the impeccable cutting skills she is known for, Arcari’s girls strode out in slip-on flats and oh-so-slightly feminine silhouettes, re-constructed from menswear style suits and cut into dresses, jumpsuits and belted sleeveless jackets. The most minimal techno-pop soundtrack evolved with the collection as buttonless jackets and simplistic pleats progressed into the glossiest of fluffy black dresses, an electric blue fur coat and silk tops in more blue prints. With their high collars, asymmetric jacket lapels and Arcari’s no-fuss, no-frills aesthetic, the autumn/winter 13 Ter et Bantine girl means business!
