On Saturday morning the SIBLING monster’s little sister came out to play and there was glitter and flowers everywhere! ‘Nothing stands in your way when you’re a blonde except perhaps the wardrobe door,’ was written across the top of the press release, a quote from the princess of punk, Paula Yates who’s flirty, feminine and fun outlook on life was the inspiration behind The Natural Blonde AW13. A stellar cast of IT-girl models led by Cara Delevingne stormed the runway in time to Icona Pop in Sid Bryan’s trademark chunky knits in cosy mint greens and lavender pinks as well as housewife-style traditional twinsets rebelliously offset with crazy crimped locks and sneaker wedges. We fell in love with the giant bobble berets, Cara’s crochet flower top with knickers pairing and Marie-Antoinette’s magenta splashed portrait sweater. Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery have upped the ante this fashion week with another lush collection that’s fun and clever. Blondes do it better but SIBLING do it best.
