Exclusive Mix: My Nu Leng

Co-headlining i-D Mix 14-02-13, My Nu Leng are the London/Brizzo futurebass double act signed to Black Butter Records.

Bristol produces the most wily house music, London brings the bass. My Nu Leng lads Jammo and Tommy perfectly compliment each other’s accomplished production skills, exploring a strikingly individual sound. Crafting the kind of music that will dictate trends in electronic music for months to come, MNL’s breakthrough drop The Grid, released late last year, continues to receive heavy plays on the air and in the clubs. i-D secured an exclusive mix from Tommy and Jammo and got the skinny on their top 5 producers coming up from Brizzo right now. Drop by the Shoreditch Butchery this Thursday to watch the duo do what they do live till late.

Troy Gunner: Although only recently a Bristol Resident, what our housemate, Troy has forthcoming has blown us away and 2013 is set to be a huge year for him.

Woz: For tunes that cause damage up and down the country we always turn to Woz. He has got his own unique take on where to take the “bass” music sound. Also on Black Butter Records, we may see a few Leng/Woz collabs this year…

Kahn: Consistently showing his diversity and quality in every single release. One of our favourite producers, Kahn has been flying the flag for Bristol the past few years.

Artifact: Relatively new Bristol resident and already making huge moves in and outside of the city. His work rate is sickening, always producing well thought out techno/ house hybrids.

Asa/ Sorrow: It is hard to mention either of the above without mentioning the other and after recently being sent some new collabs we were both blown away. Some different movements for the pair but it will be sure to turn heads.
