Roll necks, camel coats and silk-wool blend overcoats, think Mr Start is just for suits? Think again. Having proven excellence in suiting, Philip Start’s Shoreditch based label branched out this season with fine knitwear, luxury outwear and a range of accessories. Accompanied by psychedelic groove music, the colour palette of evergreen, burgundy, camel and navy reflected British autumn with a forest green moleskin bomber hitting top of the must-have list for 2013. Knitted roll necks were combined with classic menswear tailoring, giving the show a casual feel and three bag options were presented: briefcase, travel bag and tote bag, to be accompanied if so needed by two-tone leather gloves. The eye of the tailor accompanied by the trend spotting out and about ethos of the Mr Start team proved the perfect ingredients for a contemporary menswear collection, combining what they do best with something new.
