John Pearson wrote the foreword to SOUL i-D in the 2008 edition, carried forward to the 2012 edition too. In the book, he shares a memory of his father, which he says influenced his own approach to parenthood, and to life. A very wise man is John Pearson, and last week when i-D bumped into him in LA, he agreed to share some pearls on camera for the next generation. With a modelling career spanning over 25 years, John has worked with some of the greatest designers, magazines and photographers including Mario Testino and David Bailey. Married to stylist Alison Edmond, John now lives in LA with his three children, still working constantly and now producing documentaries and writing too. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll listen carefully.
