Taking beauty to the next level, Gyaru girls invest their all in looking unbelievably good. Manipulating every feature and proportion to bring them as close to their ideal of perfect as possible, this Japanese craze dictates that girls wear their makeup in an iconic fashion. i-D online finds out how to get the look.
Step one: Restructure the eye shape, using eyeliner to lower the waterline of the eye.
Step two: Line the top and bottom rims of the eye in black.
Step three: Add white or nude coloured coal pencil to the waterline of the eye to make the shape appear rounded and more doe eyed.
Step four: Coat top and bottom lashes in mascara.
Step five: Apply eyeshadow in a neutral colour to the lids and blend well.
