London showcases the best in menswear for AW13 this week while XOYO showcases i-D’s fave new acts: Nzca/Lines, Real, Urulu, Andrea, Nightworks and Lissitzky, at our MIX night this Thursday. Wind down with us, away from the runways.
Six strong, fresh and ready talents descend upon east London’s XOYO housed Shoreditch Butchery space to play the first i-D Mix night of 2013, this Thursday, 10th January. First up is Dan Canetti, aka Lissitzky. A breaking producer infiltrating fashion and music circles, Dan contributed to Astrid Anderson’s AW13 show music this season. Then former Metronomy bassist Nightworks and brother act Nzca/Lines step up to take us all to a more atmospheric place, themed with deeper, tripped out samples and nostalgic rhythms. Billing the two fellow fast rising acts together, French abstract producer Andrea will then take to the booth before his boy, and London producer, Real commands the decks, both playing a fast moving 45 minute set. Urulu is the final player of the night; featured on our flavour of the month’s most recent drop for Rob Da Bank’s show, his undefinable sounds will provide the perfect ending to another i-D Mix night. Come down, listen to good music, with no admission fee. The best things in life are free.
