Riccardo Tisci always delivers the three M’s: masculine, majestic and magical. This season he provided us with a silhouette switch which clicked from sport tailoring to classic tailoring in his consumer complete collection. The cast was, as usual, selected perfectly. If the industry are looking for the oh so legendary Petri buffalo style, Tisci came the closest out of all the attempts so far. Suiting with puffer jackets wrapped around the waist looked effortless as models strolled down the catwalk with the confidence of a young Roy Jones Jr and the typically Tisci female lineup was stellar, including Saskia de Brauw and the incredible Jenny Shimizu. There were the Tisci printed sweatshirts, T-shirts and shirts that are certain to be a success, complimented by shoes that featured a silver steel wrap around, reminiscent of the brilliant style of boy band bros. Add a set that witches from cult film The Craft would feel at home in – a huge circle of candles – and you have a Givenchy extravaganza. Despite the snow storm outside the show, Riccardo Tisci continued to keep Paris Burning.
