The AW13 Giorgio Armani men marched single file down the runway looking as suave as ever, suited and booted to the nines with combed, greased back hair and man-bags swinging by their knees, each one a muse in Mr Armani’s ‘Men’s Project.’ Jackets and trousers came in luxurious fabrics from cosy fleece to plush crushed velvet to thick shearling, everything a man of any respectable or poetic profession could need to keep warm and look polished for the crisp AW. There was nothing boyish about this collection, it was grown-up and high-tech, featuring models with strong jaw-lines and strong stubble in extra wide pin-stripes and quilted suit jackets, accessorised with leather gloves and round tortoiseshell specs. An Armani army of smart men ready to woo the world back from the girls!
