Straight Up: Christmas Tree Shopping

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree. We can all feel that bit more festive when the tree is up and decorated. As the crowds descended on to Columbia Road Market on the hunt for the perfect pine, i-D photographer Piczo was there, camera in hand to shoot a series of Straight-Ups.

 

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go… but few places are quite as picturesque as the scene at Columbia Road Market with its crowds searching through Christmas trees, mistletoe and all manner of festive foliage.

Enveloped by the warming whiff of a heady cocktail of pine needles, mulled wine and mince pies, i-D photographer Piczo captured a series of snapshots of the picture postcard scenes last weekend. Put on your favourite Christmas tune, look right and be prepared to feel that bit more merry.
