When? 13/12/12 – The day before. Ahead of the opening of Acne Studios, Aoyama, Tokyo, the new residents did the honorable thing, as any new neighbour should, and threw a lavish in-house party.

Where? Guest House 2-13-15 Hiroo Shibuya-ku Tokyo 150-0012. The first ACNE store in Asia and for one night only the residence for the welcome party starting proceedings in style. Ensuring that their guests weren’t geting home early and in conjunction with Tomorrowland Guest House, the after party went on till the early hours of the morn. Think tinsled interiors, a traditional Swedish buffet and Absolut Vodka in abundance.

What? Jubilation, new beginnings and a night on the dance floor with music provided, no expenses spared. Tokyo born shoegazing, Krautrock loving Narumi Herisson started the night with a psychedelic mix to bend your mind into shape for the rest of the events. Proceeding LA based electro duo inc. previewed their full-length debut album No World released in February 2013. Until the undetermined hometime on hand were the disco juicers Horse Meat Disco to play as long as your heart desires.

Who? From left. Le Twins, Leah Weller and Tomo Kurata, Verbal, Mademoiselle Yuli, Jonny Johansson and Nicola Formichetti, Chiharu, Hiroki Narimiya, Sen, DexPistols, Juna Nakayama, Hiro Saski, Kozue Akimoto, Kiko Mizuhara.

Why? Raising glasses plenty of times for three cheers to the ACNE gang and the successful launch of their first store in Asia.
