i-Profile: Cole Mohr

With a face for fashion, super-fly style and a wise-crack one-liner up his sleeve, everyone’s got room for a little Mohr Cole.

He’s the gap-toothed, dimple-cheeked, sweet-talking 26-year-old face of fun, young America. Hailing from Houston, Texas and with both respectively inked onto the inside of each elbow, Cole Mohr hypnotised Hedi Slimane six years ago, has since donned a dress for Marc Jacobs, been a Burberry campaign boy and most recently styled out sportswear in The Wise Up Issue shot by Colin Dodgson. Now signed to Request Model Management and chilling out with equally hot young things Miles Langford and Yuri Pleskun on and off the pages, Cole is super-cool and charismatic, recognised for the AprilMayJune tattooed across his collarbones, and just generally being the easy-going, backwards snapback wearing trailblazer of the alternative male model brigade. i-D online get, as Mr Mohr might quip, a sweet, sleek, inside peek into life off-duty.

How were you spotted? On the street by my agent Noel when I was 20. I was smoking a joint and I thought she was a cop.

What does AprilMayJune mean? It’s for my ex-fiancee. That’s all I’m going to say.

Do you follow fashion? I mean… there are things I like and things I think shouldn’t exist. Fashion is followed. Occasionally even by me.

What’s your guiltiest pleasure? Pleasure.

Are you in love? Uh huh.

What does your bedroom look like? An emptied salvation army. Pretty art on the walls.

Were you well behaved at school? Hell nah. Kinda. I just messed with my teachers. Conceptual battles.

If you weren’t modelling what would you be doing? Making art and probably working at some frigid gallery.

Got any advice for new models? Run to the hills!

What was it like shooting with Alastair McKimm and Colin Dodgson? Awesome, they are both pals.

Are you friends with the other boys from the shoot? Miles! I hadn’t met the other two fellas before that day but they were nice.

What’s next for you? We’ll see!
