You can always count on the Prada group and their Mrs to do something exciting. Following a year of innovative digital campaigns, Hollywood show castings and a 24 hour museum in Paris, Prada’s best girl friend Miu Miu have just opened a very grand-scale, multi-media, multi-sensory member’s club, for women only, at Regent Street’s Café Royal for the next three days. With four floors including a private shopping boutique, a cinema room screening the Miu Miu Women’s Tales with furnishings fit for Lady Godiva, a seafood bar offering seared scallops, a club lounge for afternoon tea and 5 o clock cocktails, and a restaurant serving the most delicious white chocolate cake, it’s a house party set in heaven.
Female chefs April Bloomfield and Margot Henderson offer their dinner menus tonight and tomorrow and Penny Martin and Alice Rawsthorn will be speaking in the cinema room tonight and tomorrow too. Leading female DJ’s are providing the soundtrack and last night’s special guest was the beautiful Kim Ann Foxman who played into the early hours. A celebration of strong, stylish women, the club has attracted some Miu-mazing guests including i-D coverstar Edie Campbell, supermodel Susie Bick and Nick Cave (who had to come with Susie Bick because he’s a man and men are only allowed as guests, touché). Offering a taste of Miu Miu life, the club is loving and giving to all its guests. Miu Miu, will you marry me?
