If the hat fits, have a party.

After thirty years of the best fitting hats cladding famous heads from French and Saunders to Courtney Pine, London’s iconic milliners, Berstock Speirs were owed a party! Flicking back through their 80’s catalogue last week, i-D online got our heads in the game again for Thelma and Paul’s 30th Birthday Party, hats in hand!

When? Last Thursday following the opening of their exhibition Bernstock Speirs 30th.

What? Three decades of work was showcased in neat rows of rainbow bow-tied, bunny-eared caps and candy-coloured bobble hats lining the walls of Fred (London) Ltd as guests chit-chatted merrily swapping sparkling trilbies with neon flatcaps and trying on the glittering black special edition Bunny Cap.

Who? i-D’s own Princess Julia, Bernstock Speirs collaborator Louise Gray and previous i-Profile subject, Danny Reed were just a few friendly faces seen chatting the night away over a classy glass of Prosecco.

Bernstock Speirs 30 runs from 14th November until 24th November 2012 at Fred (London Ltd).
