She’s no relation to Britney but The Wise Up Issue‘s Miss Spears is a superstar in her own right.

In January 2008, an unknown brunette babe with braces won a Myspace modelling competition. Fast forward five years, throw in a contract with Next Models, opening Diane von Furstenburg, closing Moschino and a beauty spot mirroring Cindy Crawford’s and out walks Kendra Spears, former face of Prada, current of Cavalli and appearing in glossy mags across the globe from Vogue Italia to Numero Tokyo. Studying Sociology at uni before securing her place in Models.com’s Top 50 list, the Seattleite stunner has a classic beauty. Kendra’s distinctive in a different way to the girls of today in that she still owns that timeless 80s Supermodel style, with an iconic face, lengthy limbs and a confident, fun-loving temperament. In other words, we’re well prepared for a revival of the Super and Kendra’s leading the pack. Not getting enough of her from The Wise Up Issue, i-D online sourced some more tips of the trade from the wise beyond her years 24-year-old.
What’s the highlight of your modelling career so far? I can’t say that there is just one. I’m amazed that I’ve gotten this far so the whole thing is highlighted!
How does it feel to be compared to Cindy Crawford? She’s an iconic bombshell so I can’t complain! I can only hope to have a career like hers. Maybe down the road people will say that other models look like a ‘baby’ me!
Any relation to Britney? Haha I only hear that question anymore from French customs! I do not know of any relation, but maybe one day we’ll be friends. I feel like I know her already.
If you weren’t modelling what would you be doing? Two things that I will do but have been put on hold are open a gourmet sandwich shop and design historic building renovations.
What’s your preening routine? I use Bioderma Crealine multiple times a day along with Caudalie scrub, clay mask, and honey based face cream at night.
Are you in love? YES!
Where are the best places to hang out in New York? I really like Chelsea overall, but more and more I’m liking the feeling of Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights.
Do you have any advice for new models? Always remember that there is life outside of and after modelling so stay grounded and aware.
If you were invisible for a day, what would you do? I think I would prefer a super-human ability like teleportation or time travel.
What was it like shooting with Greg and Havana for i-D? The concept was unusual for me and the amount of creativity from the whole crew was inspiring, we had fun.
