Last night, i-D and JOYCE hosted an exclusive book-signing event to coincide with the imminent opening of SOUL i-D Beijing. (It’s tonight!)

Taking place on the lower ground floor of the glamorous JOYCE store in Beijing, i-D hosted an intimate book signing where over 200 of China’s international press, customers and VIPs all gathered to have their copy of SOUL i-D personally signed by Terry and Tricia Jones. Large windows displayed 32 years of illuminated i-D covers and guided the guests – including film director Alexi Tan, CAA founder Hao Wei, fashion photographer Huan Dao, Vogue TV Chief Editor Rosalie Huang, fashion stylist Xie Xing, menswear designer Zhang Chi, Tsinghua Fashion + Design Academy Director Zhang Zixuan – through the shop entrance, where, once inside, they were treated to champagne and macaroons, each gifted a copy of the limited edition book. Guests also had the opportunity to flick through archive issues of the magazine, dating back to 1980. Our Fall 2012 issue, starring Fan Bingbing shot by Chen Man, also went down a storm with the special invitees, as did the ever-popular i-D wink booth, allowing eager participants to create their own unique i-D cover Polaroid.
