i-D online took a holiday and XOYO underwent a makeover, what have you been up to since the last i-D MIX night? However good your Summer was, it’s all over and now the nights are drawing in. Warm yourself up for Fall with this feast of sweaty beats, hypnotic house rhythms and heavy hip-hop drops. October has been an incredibly fruitful month for new music, The Weeknd, Solange Knowles, Kim Ann Foxman, Katy B and even the Wu-Tang Clan have all come good with killer d/l. Whilst newcomers Angel Haze, Rhye, Happa, Trust and S-Type launch much-hyped follow up releases to their outstanding debut tracks. Shlohmo, Cyril Hahn, Apes and Seb Wildblood, Four Tet and Huxley step up with stunning remixes, courtesy of their favourite artists of the moment, Falty DL, Jeremih and T.Williams. The tone of the seasons changing means life will become more mellow on the streets, so we are keeping things even icier up on our SoundCloud. Working with brands including Unilever, Island Records, BBC, Adidas, Cisco Systems, accomplished illustrator Moose & Yeti is the finely skilled artist behind this month’s mixtape cover. Incorporating a classic comic book aesthetic with his own contemporary graffiti-influenced techniques, this inspired artist draws influence from his past experience spent working in advertising, design and illustration. Commissioned by galleries, festivals, brands and private clients alike, his works’ striking appeal is diverse. i-D online asked the man with the markers to etch whatever he wanted for our October mixtape #iLike.
