Scouted by Jack White, Smoke Fairies inspired one of the most accomplished musicians of this generation. And they’re here to do the same to you.
Countryside girls, Katherine Blamire and Jessica Davies have been strumming guitars and enjoying the beautiful sounds each others voices create since they were children. Singing in choirs, exploring folk and classic American soul, recording albums in Cornwall and Nashville, touring with Richie Hawley and then Jack White, the inseparable sisters from another mister have already achieved a sizeable amount in a few short years. Writing music about the romantic notions that fill their dreamy heads, the heavy soul that the pair delicately perform is unusual and enthralling. Signed to V2 Records, Smoke Fairies released their latest single ‘Let Me Know‘ in August and are currently in the middle of a UK tour. i-D online spent an afternoon enjoying an intimate performance of ‘The Three of Us‘.
