A master of sculpture and structure, Todd Lynn didn’t disappoint with his SS13 collection, taking his expertise to a new level. Lynn collaborated with artist, Marcus James with dramatic results. Brush-stroked linear prints were interspersed with citrus and safari blocks, a palette that is a step away from Lynn’s usual deep gothic tones. Despite ditching the darker palette, the drama that comes with a Todd Lynn show was ever present thanks to daring silhouettes. Garments were folded and gathered into intense shapes and sculptures. Lynn created a kind of half roll neck, with his constructions reaching quite the climax around the nape. It was a collection that made the expected strong and dramatic statement but never faltered from elegance and grace.
