Thakoon took his love of all things floral and elevated it to new heights of femininity this season. Print was present throughout the collection and often mixed with experimental textures, however silhouettes were kept simple and clean to maintain elegance amongst the array of colour and fabric. Hem lengths were always knee-skimming or longer, reiterating that the Thakoon girl is in fact a lady. There were undertones of darkness to be found in the collection, Thakoon added buttoned-up black collars, sheer layers exposing skin and strong footwear. Also slick hair and strong eyes added to this darker element. Despite this being one of Thakoon’s more feminine collections he managed to give it added interest by creating a ‘the lady is a vamp’ situation.
