i-D’s The Role Model Issue cover star Aymeline Valade kicked off proceedings at Reed Krakoff, setting the pace and tone for the rest of the show. Looking every bit the demure dame of the runway in her neat peachy ensemble, her boxing shorts, blouse and overcoat had contrasting black panelling on the arms but matching shoes. And so it continued: the peach princesses came thick and fast before the palette evolved through subdued autumnal hues of mauve, brown and gold. As leaf motifs made an appearance we caught ourselves dreaming of nippy Sunday strolls through the park. Panels of contrasting fabrics and shades running each side of the torso injected a hint of sporty chic into the collection, with luxe laser cut leather reminding us these garms were meant for pavement strutting and not playing fields. Shorts were short, make-up and hair was pure and simple and folded handbags were clutched. The Reed Krakoff SS13 woman is certainly every bit the role model, wink, wink.
