No.21′s unique blend of masculine-feminine style continued for SS13. Gold cherub motifs and white piping added a neo-classical edge to royal blue satin skirts, blouses and dresses. Jackets came cropped and boxy, while white shift dresses were cut square just above the knee. We particularly loved the lavish embellishment; there was no such thing as too much for Creative Director Dell’Acqua who sent dresses shimmering and sparkling down the runway like a treasure chest of jewels. Crystal encrusted brooches hung over the chest of blue textured sweater dresses to create an almost baroque like opulence to an otherwise casual fabric. While lace (surely one of this season’s biggest trends) made an appearance on dresses, skirts and tops too. If you’re a fan of effortless elegance then this collection’s for you.
