Moschino provided a vibrant, fresh and fun wake-up call on the morning of day three of Milan Fashion Week. Managing to nail two of this season’s biggest trends so far; the sixties and stripes, Rossella Jardini showed short white double-breasted jackets with huge gobstopper buttons, oversized helmet hats and willy wonka goggle glasses, alongside mirror-ball shift dresses, and super short skirts in humbug hues. Very ‘now’ monochrome striped detailing worked its way, neatly onto collars and pocket details echoing Courrèges and Quant. Broderie anglaise dresses came dotted with little blooms, but they were always sassy and had their sartorial heart in the swinging Sixties – graphic, bold and fun. Meanwhile other little dresses, and a mac too, were patch-worked together with sections of colourful floral patterns and and punchy embroidered blooms. This season, Milan is looking forward to a Summer of Love!
