In Los Angeles, a city long defined by health, wealth and the trappings of the richest and most famous, ubiquity reigns supreme and individuality can be a rarity. But a crowd of Golden State-living, ambition-pumped youngsters are flying the ‘something different’ flag high over the city and coming up trumps. One such fella is Rhuigi Villasenor, the California reared whipper snapper who launched fashion label ‘Rhude’ earlier this year and already his vivid bandana print tee has tumbled at top-speed and set the webwaves aflame. With Gagosian’s Beverly Hills gallery bustling and Tyler tie-dying his way to the top of the charts, creative spirit is well and truly thick in the LA air right now. One place where this is most visible is in multi-brand boutique FourTwoFour on Fairfax. Specialising in streetwear, 424′s the perfect location for Mr Rhude’s scorching hot tees and to celebrate their arrival of the rails there Rhude and his homies got festive. It took a while for the snaps to weave their way westwards to Blighty from our LA-loving, camera-weilding correspondent Dexter Navy, but now they’re here we thought it high time we shared them with y’all… Lights. Camera. Action.
