What made Emporio Armani stand out this season was the accessories. Delicious caramel brown leather tote bags came with matching loafers and evening clutches. Patent leopard print stiletoes with metallic ankle straps and matching satchels felt contemporary, fresh and modern. While silver metallic flats could easily make the transition between day and night. This buzzy youthful energy was to some extents reflected in the clothes. There were checked jacket and shorts, floaty sundresses in a mirage of pastel colours and shiny metallic skirts that would look perfect for a glitzy night out on the Italian Riviera. Loose safari brown jackets, trousers and all-in-ones provided something for a slightly older audience. But then silver, gold and dusty pink lame dresses brought it right back to the youth market. Hair was worn loose and flowing, and earrings were large, circular and colourful, but it really was the accessories that stole the show.
