Last weekend Essex opened its heart and green pleasant land to some rockers, some emos, some pop tarts and some soul sisters for the number one ordinary boy’s festival. Music was the order of the day, but style stole the show…

This year beauty mega-brand MAC opened a tent in the Live Lounge at V Festival, primping and preening stars and fans alike. Swarming with television’s finest faces, talent surrounding the tent included TOWIE‘s hot blondes, the new Doctor Who girl, the old Sugar Rush girl, half of One Direction, Kaya Scodelario, the original Sugababes and Mr SBTV, Jamal Edwards. Getting distracted every five minutes by a rich and famous, Irish beauty, Essex local or hip hop honey, i-D spent the day taking pictures, we couldn’t stop, except to listen to Emeli Sandé for what, ten minutes, before bumping into yet another as-seen-on-screen star.
