Delicately pale, with an explosion of firey locks, Laura is a striking girl with a kilo-watt smile. Scouted in a Luxembourg theatre by a photographer four years ago, Laura was quickly snapped up by Muse Models and has been in demand ever since for her modern pre-Raphealite charms. The 20-year-old vegetarian hasn’t let this demand change her relaxed and down-to-earth outlook though, spending time off with her boyfriend and family in her beloved Luxembourg and practicing pilates and yoga. As calm and as picturesque as her native country, Laura speaks five languages (Luxembourgish, German, French, English and Spanish) and reads compulsively. Here, the flame-haired beauty talks contentment, endless possibilities and the Orient with i-D online.

Where are you from? What’s it like there? I’m from Luxembourg. Even though it’s one of the smallest countries in the world, it’s very beautiful. There are a lot of small picturesque countrysides. We have a lot of nature and a beautiful old town in the capital city.

How were you scouted? I was scouted during a theatre rehearsel at the age of 16. And then one thing let to another and I quickly winded up in Paris.

What’s your earliest memory? I think I must have been around 4 years old, when during an easter hunt, I found my first bicycle behind a hedge in our garden. It was pink and it had a big strawberry on the basket in front of it.

What was your last dream? Having a rat race through the streets of NYC with a bunch of strangers.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? From the age of 5 until maybe 15, I wanted to be an investigative journalist.

What was it like shooting with Terry Richardson for-D? It was really energetic with a lot funky clothes but still there was a relaxed atmosphere, we had a lot of fun. It didn’t feel like work at all.

What’s the best thing about being young today? It think the great thing about being young has always been the same. It’s that feeling that you want to experience life and see what else there is to it.

Are you in love? Yes sir.

What quality do you like most in others? I appreciate honest, open-minded and challenging people.

How do you feel when you look in the mirror? I feel content. Most of the time…

What are you up this weekend? Chilling at the Moroccan beach by day and discovering the orient at night.
