Head firmly in the clouds, New York model Iggy is as beautifully eccentric in her manner as in her looks, winning us over in her shoot with Terry Richardson for The Just Kids Issue.

With an ethereal curtain of blonde hair down to her waist and, usually, a funny face being pulled underneath it, Iggy stands out from the crowd for more than just her height. An animal lover and a dreamer with consistently high spirits, she embodies the live-in-the-moment philosophy of youth. When she’s not modelling she spends her time playing with jewels, being in love and riding unicorns across the lower east side skyline. i-D online caught up with the funny, hyperactive and eternally endearing Iggy to talk Snow White, MTV and rainbows.
What was your childhood like? My childhood was full of deer and rainbows. I was different from the other kids in both the way I looked and the way I thought so that made my childhood special. In a good way!
What’s your earliest memory? I remember myself in a playpen playing with my mom’s jewellery before I even learned to walk.
What TV shows did you watch as a child? I was always obsessed with music channels like MTV.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be Snow White and just hang out with cute animals in the forest.
How was the day of the shoot? It was absolutely amazing! The whole team was super chill and we had so much fun trying on stylist’s treasures, dancing and taking cool shots.
What’s the best thing about being young today? The many opportunities and the freedom to do what you want to do.
Are you in love? I always am! I can’t remember a day in my life that I wasn’t! Love is in the air…
What’s your perfect date? A perfect date can’t be without a perfect guy! The rest isn’t that important.
What’s your favorite food? I love avocados, seafood and all of the menu from my favorite Italian cafe in NY on 15th and 3rd ave.
What was the last dream you had? My last dream was about my cat who has recently died because of an accident. He was safe and sound again and we were having great time together.
How do you feel when you look in the mirror? When I look in the mirror I always feel like making funny faces. Boy, I can’t live without it!
