A little mix of all-singing and dancing, blonde, brunette and ebony-haired badass babes, when Perrie, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne aren’t jamming out for i-D online you’ll find them enjoying a Nandos or watching Disney movies. Each entering 2011′s X Factor on a solo pursuit, this time last year Little Mix’s four quarters were chasing a lifelong dream to become reality TV’s next biggest popstars. Riding a tumultuous wave of terrific highs and lows, one became four and what Gary Barlow professed to be “the best girl band that has ever been on X Factor” was created. Mentored by their very own female boss, former N-Dubz vocalist Tulisa Constostavlos, the well-coiffed quartet became known for their fluro-flavoured, lollipop-tastic, colour co-ordinated outfits. Shooting straight to the top of the UK charts with debut single ‘Cannonball’, the girls are now proud to announce their follow up single ‘Wings’, released via Simon Cowell’s self-coined label Syco. Little Mix are currently on tour, travelling the country, enjoying the kind of fame that 18 months ago they could only have dreamed of. i-D online locked down Perrie, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne in the studio for an exclusive session of singing and snapping.
